The cover art for my fan fiction ‘Things to do in Springfield when wearing the Mask’ [link]
(I know the title is slightly different, that’s because fanfiction.net only allows a certain number of letters in a title.)
The story features each one of the Simpson family wearing the Mask of Loki, a powerful artefact that brings out the wearers most inner desires and with the powers of a god to indulge those desires. It was my first published Mask crossover and has a range of Mask type characters from the Igorent and mishceviously loony to the dangerously psychotic and even seductive.
When Homer forgets to buy Bart a birthday present he panics and searches the whole of Springfield for a suitable gift, and he thinks he’s found the perfect one. In the House of Mojo Homer purchases an ancient, odd, wooden mask that he thinks looks a little like Bart. But Homer doesn’t know what he’s letting Springfield in for because the wearer of this particular Mask gets their inner most desires granted and drives them to do only one thing, to cause mischief.
The story is a rollercoaster ride telling each family members experiences with the Mask, what they would turn into and what they would get up to.
If you haven't already guessed, each of the characters appearing in the Mask picture are how I imagined each of the Simpsons would look in the Mask.
